Scholarships

This list may change from time to time. Last updated on 11 March 2010

Scholarships for full-time RP students are offered by various government and private organizations at different times of the academic year. The eligibility criterion for every scholarship varies. Please refer to your RP student email account or this webpage for scholarships that are opened for application.

General Eligibility Criteria

  1. Students who are sponsored or are already in receipt of a scholarship or bursary should not be applying for another scholarship in the same academic year. However, those who have applied for, or are on the Tuition Fees Loan Scheme, CPF Approved Education Scheme or Mendaki Fee Subsidy Scheme are eligible to apply, unless otherwise stated.
  2. Students must have already gained admission or enrolled in a full-time course at the time of application and receipt of scholarship.
  3. Scholarships are usually awarded for one academic year unless stated otherwise. Students are required to apply annually for consideration.
  4. Late applications will not be accepted.

  • Good academic results with GPA 3.5
  • No disciplinary records
  • Mature with good conduct
  • Actively involved in CCAs and/or community works
  • Not in receipt of another scholarship or bursary

  • Gained admission in RP and in any academic discipline
  • Medically and physically fit
  • Strong interest in HOME Team careers

  • Monthly allowance of S$1,000
  • Payment of tuition and compulsory fees
  • Study bonus of S$1200 per semester if the student passes all modules in that semester

Eligibility Criteria
  • Gained admission in RP
  • Medically fit for the respective vocations applied for
  • Current students are welcomed to apply at any stage of their studies
Component/Quantum
  • Year 1: 1st - 6th Month = 100% x [S$1,000 + Fees]
  • Year 2: 7th - 24th Month = 60% x [S$1,000 + Fees]
  • Year 3: 25th - 36th Month = 40% x [S$1,000 + Fees]
  • Study bonus of S$1200 per semester if the student passes all modules in that semester

 **Male applicants will have to serve a Minimum Term of Engagement [MTE] of 5 years which includes your NS liability and study bond

Yayasan Mendaki - Merchant Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
  • Muslim Singapore Citizens
  • Obtain at least 2 distinctions and a minimum of a B3 grade in 4 other subjects in the GCE 'O' levels examination or equivalent
  • Student from low-income family will be given priority
  • Good academic performance for the whole duration of their studies in RP
Component/Quantum
  • 100% of the tuition fee
  • S$1,000 as living allowance per annum
  • Up to minimum period of study leading to a diploma or maximum 3 years, whichever is lower
  • Scholarship is disbursed yearly subject to satisfactory performance of the scholar
  • The scholar must submit a copy of his/her examination results yearly to Yayasan MENDAKI
  • The scholar will be required to complete 60 days of community service work with Yayasan Mendaki before or within 2 years after graduation

  • Satisfy the admission criteria of Microsoft Professional Certification Training courses listed in Annex 1 (download application form for more information)
  • Per capita household income less than S$700 based on means testing
  • Relevance of training to employment opportunities

  • 50% of the total course fee, examination fee and other compulsory fee relating to the course or up to S$3,000 per annum whichever is lower.

  • Continuation of scholarship will be dependent on the scholar's academic performance

  • Graduating students who are applying to/have been offered a place to pursue full-time first-degree courses at NTU, NUS or SMU
  • A 4-year bond to work in the Co-operative and its related sectors

  • Full tuition fees
  • Maintenance allowance of S$3,500 per academic year
  • Hostel accommodation allowance up to S$3,500 per academic year
  • Maximum computer grant of S$3,000
  • Scholarship is capped to a maximum of 4 years
